It’s never too late to learn a new skill, improve your prospects, change careers, increase your earning potential or take up a hobby. We have a wide range of courses starting in early 2018 to suit your needs

Fast-track Careers

We have a range of industry-recognised courses designed to help you fast-track your way to a new career. These six to 12 week courses are just £400 or may even be free depending on your circumstances (e.g. unemployed or receiving job seekers allowance). From bricklaying and plumbing to hairdressing, beauty therapy and cookery, our Fast-track courses are available at levels one and two. Click here to view our course finder.

Aged 16-18?

Not sure what to do next? Our new Skills 4 Careers course provides you with a first step towards your chosen career. As well as improving your English and maths, you can choose to try up to four practical subjects to help you decide which area to specialise in. You can choose from construction, hair and beauty, travel and tourism, IT and sports. This level one course will help you gain new skills and progress on to further study or employment. Apprenticeships & Traineeships

Apprenticeships enable you to gain on-the-job experience, get qualified and earn money at the same time. From catering to engineering, we offer a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities with local companies to help people of all ages learn while they earn. Higher Education

Achieve a university-level qualification that’s local, flexible and affordable at college. If you are looking to take your career and skills to the next level, we offer a range of Higher Education courses starting in 2018 in subjects such as tourism and hospitality management, computing, engineering, visual merchandising and performing arts. With our course fees typically less than those for full-time courses at university, these courses are a more affordable alternative.

Part-time courses

We have a wide range of part-time courses to help you improve your prospects, change career, learn a new skill or take up a hobby. Our courses range from beginner right through to degree-level and are run on evenings and weekdays, so you can fit study around work or personal commitments. From business and computing to art and crafts, from public speaking and stand-up comedy to learning a language or even taking up knitting, we have something to suit everyone.
