New name heralds exciting new era for college group

East Berkshire College and Strode’s College in Egham are delighted to announce they will now be collectively known as the Windsor Forest Colleges Group, following their formal merger on 9th May 2017. This week, college staff and students proudly unveiled the group’s new branding, which symbolises the partnership between the colleges, their shared values and vision. The newly formed group will deliver high quality education and training to over 8,000 students and businesses each year from its three state-of-the-art campuses: Langley College, Strode’s College in Egham and Windsor College. All three college campuses have a long-standing history in their local communities and will each retain their individual identities. Top marks for GCSEs

There were tears of joy and plenty of cheers from students at Langley College and Windsor College, part of East Berkshire College, on Thursday (24th August 2017) as they celebrated excellent GCSE results. Many of the students receiving results had been studying GCSEs in English and maths as a part-time course while working, looking after their children or studying a vocational course at the College. In fact, over 475 students achieved grade A*-C in GCSE maths and/or English, with many more improving their results by one, two or even three grades. As well as English and maths, the College also offers GCSEs in science and languages. Language students at the Windsor College had particular cause for celebration. In fact, on the part-time Spanish GCSE course 100% of students achieved A*-D grades, with five out of seven students obtaining A*-B. In addition, 100% of students achieved A*-A in GCSE Polish. Windsor College celebrates A Level success as students embark on exciting futures

Windsor College students and staff are celebrating another year of superb A Level results, as final grades were revealed today (17th August 2017) after weeks of nervous anticipation. Continuing to set high standards, the College’s full A Level pass rate was an excellent 95%, with 10 students achieving A* grades in seven different subjects. The College also celebrated 100% pass rate in 12 subjects including English subjects, biology, law, further maths, fine art, Spanish, French and photography. The College’s overall A*-C pass rate was 68%. Windsor College was packed with nervous students waiting to open those all-important envelopes. Anxiety soon turned to smiles as they found out their marks.
