East Berkshire College students and staff are celebrating another year of superb A Level results, as final grades were revealed today (13th August 2015) after weeks of nervous anticipation.

Continuing to set high standards, the College's full A Level pass rate was an excellent 95% The College also celebrated 100% pass rate in 12 subjects including English subjects, Law, fine art, Spanish, French, geography, photography, film studies and business studies.

Windsor College was packed with nervous students waiting to open those all-important envelopes. Anxiety soon turned to smiles as they found out their marks.

Michael Rafeh (25, from Windsor) was elated with his results. Having achieved As in Chemistry and Biology and a B in Maths, he has secured a place at Southampton University to study Biomedical science.

"I'm so pleased with my grades. I was just one mark off of achieving three As, but I have secured my place at Southampton University and I'm one-step closer to a career in medicine. I've had an amazing few years at Windsor College, it's sad to say goodbye to the teachers there. They have been so supportive, I couldn't have done it without them."

Another outstanding student was Anthony Poppe (aged 18, from Burnham), who achieved three Bs in Business Studies, English Language and Sociology.

"I'm delighted with my results. My grades mean I can go on to study a degree in Primary Education at Oxford Brookes University. I've always wanted to be a teacher, so I'm really grateful to the support of my college lecturers, thanks to them I am a step closer to fulfilling my dream."

Having achieved their grades, many of the College leavers will now be going on to a range of universities and exciting employment opportunities.

Kate Webb, Principal of East Berkshire College, said: "Our students have done themselves proud. It is great to see so many young people fulfilling their potential. It is a huge credit not only to the students, but also their teachers. We wish all our students the very best of luck in their chosen university courses or career paths."
