What's covered?

You will receive two certificates, one for air cabin crew in which you will study units covering what is involved when working as cabin crew, safety procedures, legislation and selling techniques. The second is in customer service and will ensure that you can handle everything from a query to a complaint, handle the trickiest of customers, sell and upsell products and services as well as manage the customer service environment.

You will need GCSE C grades in Maths and English Language to gain employment within the airline sector and these or their equivalents may be studied alongside this main programme of study if these qualifications are not already held.

Trips, work placements and simulated work experience days form an essential part of this course. There will be additional costs for these.

What do you need?

Four GCSE's at Grade C or above to include English Language and Maths; or a Level 2 qualification with at least a merit grade and proven English Language abilities at GCSE grade C or equivalent. If you are considering the Level 3 Diploma in Travel & Tourism as well it is recommended you complete that course first and achieve a merit grade.

How you are assessed

You will be assessed through coursework, projects, role plays and tests. You will also be required to take part in assessments in professional situations off campus whilst on work placements and trips.

This course is specifically designed for those wishing to pursue a career as air cabin crew, however, students who would like to work on the ground at an airport will also benefit from an increased understanding of airborne issues and the heavy emphasis placed on customer service throughout this course.
