What's covered?

6 mandatory units covering anatomy and physiology for exercise, knowing how to support clients, health and safety, principles of exercise, preparing gym-based exercise and instructing gym-based exercise.

What do you need?

Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended. The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary. GCSE English and maths at grade A-- C.

How you are assessed

Coursework, multiple choice exam, portfolio of evidence, practical observations.
