If your dream is to find hidden clues in a crime scene or to master genetics, our applied science courses will give you the skills you need to kick-start your career. You’ll gain hands-on experience in our specialist science labs, leading to work in related fields or progression on to university.

You’ll learn in our new state-of-the-art laboratories at our Windsor College, which feature all the latest equipment you’d find in the industry, from a gas chromatograph to comparison microscopes. We even have a dedicated scene of crime room, where you can develop and practice your forensic analysis skills.

Throughout your course, you’ll be supported by passionate, highly experienced tutors dedicated to helping you achieve your potential. There’ll be guest lectures by eminent external speakers. While the combination of practical lab work, workshops, demonstrations and classroom sessions, will give you a thorough understanding of your chosen field.

 
 

With a large science-based industry on our doorstep in Berkshire, we have built up strong relationships with a variety of organisations to ensure our courses reflect the skills and knowledge employers require as well as providing you with a wide choice of work experience opportunities and a real insight into the role science plays in our lives today.

From medical science to physics, we offer a wide range of science courses at various levels, which include GCSE pathways, A Levels, BTEC programmes and Higher Apprenticeships (Level 4).

Where could it take you?
Whether you wish to progress on to study at a higher level or move directly into employment, a science course with us could be an ideal foundation for a career in forensic science, medicine, genetic engineering, teaching or even pathology.

Typical roles include laboratory assistant, lab technician, forensic analyst, teacher, criminal psychologist, climate change analyst, biomedical engineer, pharmacist and even toxicologist.
