What’s covered

By the end of this course, you will able to understand the main news items on Spanish TV and in the press. You will have an enhanced understanding of appropriate language forms and should be able to express most of your needs, wishes, opinions and feelings in different situations arising from news items with confidence and fluency. The aim is to develop language skills in an occupational and a more general context. The components include: making an oral presentation, drafting, responding, summarising; discussing, negotiating, persuading. Activities can take place in small groups, pairs or as one large group. By the end of Stage 5, you should feel able to express in an appropriate way most of your needs, wishes, opinions and feelings in a wide range of situations. You will have a wider knowledge of some advanced linguistic structures and an increased vocabulary.

All students will need to buy course books which will provide much of the material for lessons and for homework. Students will be given lots of listening and speaking practice and will be taught in a relaxed and friendly environment.
