What’s covered
If you already have a basic knowledge of Portuguese or have completed Portuguese Stage 1, this course will develop your skills in the language to include the use of the present, past and future tenses and a significantly increased vocabulary. By the end of this course, you should be confident in handling most basic social and practical situations. Students on this course are not required to take any exams or formal assessments. This stage is for those who have completed 60 hours tuition or the equivalent. The aim is to develop further the basic linguistic skills already acquired in the four skill competencies of reading, speaking, writing and listening. You will learn the language for : Receiving visitors Arranging meetings Hobbies and pastimes Telephone and written communication Talking to the doctor Day to day routines etc. Talking about past & future events

How you are assessed
All students will need to buy course books which will provide much of the material for lessons and for homework. Students will be given lots of listening and speaking practice and will be taught in a relaxed and friendly environment.
