Implement safe site working practices Contributing to efficient working practices in the workplace Confirm the occupational method of working in Electrical Installation Contribute to selection of resources for Electrical Installation Prepare, position & fix electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment Carry out specific connections on electrical wiring systems and equipment Scope, object and fundamental principles of wiring systems Selection, erection and dismantling of access equipment Inspection and testing of electrical wiring systems Fault finding and diagnosis in special installations or locations

What do you need?

To demonstrate knowledge of the practical applications to electrical installation work of the current edition of the Regulations for Electrical Installations and the ability to use this knowledge in electrical installation work. Your employer would be expected to train and support you in the workplace so you have the experience to be competent in all of the mandatory and chosen optional units.

How you are assessed

You will be assessed in the workplace as well as the college to ensure all the competencies are met. The range of methods include portfolio building, professional discussion and direct observation, as well as classroom teaching and online tests. You will have regular review meetings with your assessor and employer to support the achievement of the qualification.

Up to 36 months
