Introduction to Learn English

Need to learn or improve your English? Our friendly and expert staff will help you find the right class for your level, whether you speak just a few words or are already quite a confident user of English.

What will you study in Learn English?

We have classes for students of all language and literacy levels in Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead and Langley. Some of our learners need to start right from the very beginning with both their speaking and reading and writing. We teach at every stage from learning to speak and write your very first words to giving formal presentations, writing reports and engaging in complex discussions at Cambridge Proficiency level. You will develop your grammar and vocabulary through reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Our courses lead to recognised and highly regarded qualifications including Cambridge or Trinity College London ESOL Skills for Life, Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) and Cambridge Advanced (CAE). Our students do well on their courses and enjoy their learning.

Why East Berkshire College?

Our teachers are trained, experienced and committed to using creative ideas and new technology to help you succeed. The College's Learning Centre also has a range of resources to support you with your language learning. Our courses have an excellent reputation, and every year we help hundreds of students improve their skills and move on to work, further study or advance their careers.

How to apply

Before you join one of our classes, you will need to come in for an assessment and interview session, so we can find out which class will be best for you.

What could this lead to?

A wide range of opportunities. Former students have moved on to academic or vocational courses, others have gained promotions at work, or been successful in getting the job they really wanted, others have managed to find paid work or have achieved their goal of being able to talk directly to their child's teacher or their colleagues at work.
