Introduction to Languages

A great range of language courses in Langley, Windsor and Maidenhead, and high quality teaching staff mean East Berkshire College is the place to start or continue your language learning.

What will you study in Languages?

Our courses range from complete beginner to A Level so whether you want to make yourself understood on holiday or work for a multi-national company, our high quality teaching can help get you there. You'll develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, build your vocabulary and become confident using the language for a variety of different purposes and situations.

We also offer British Sign Language (BSL) qualifications, from Introduction for those with no signing knowledge, to Level 2 for those considering a career working with deaf people.

Why East Berkshire College?

Our teachers are experts in their chosen language, and the majority are also native speakers. As a result, we are proud of our good exam performance – for example, the pass rate for French and Spanish A Level in 2011 was 100%.

What could this lead to?

For many students, a sense of personal satisfaction and achievement is enough. For others, the acquisition of language skills can pave the way to a new role or employment in a different sector. Language skills are a must for those wishing to travel or work abroad.
