Creative Studies

Are you interested in exploring your creativity and pursuing a career in the arts? If you’re aiming for the big time on stage or screen, or have your sights on a career in advertising, interior design, visual arts, film editing or fashion, one of our creative courses could be your ticket to the top.

Whether you dream of producing music videos, or creating show-stopping window displays in London department stores, our full-time courses can help you unlock an almost endless range of career options. While, our flexible part-time courses can help you learn a new skill, expand your knowledge or take up a new hobby - like flower arranging or photography.

Why study creative studies with us?
At East Berkshire College, our creative studies courses combine up-to-the-minute knowledge and theory with plenty of practical work in our state-of-the-art facilities. Whatever your chosen subject, you’ll have the chance to learn the latest techniques using up-to-date equipment and software. As well as modern art and design workrooms, you’ll be able to develop your skills in our dedicated performing arts studio, professional Apple Mac suite, film-editing suite and recording studio.

On top of the great facilities, we have some of the best tutors, too, each with a vast amount of first-hand experience in their profession. So you can be sure you’re learning from experts and getting practical advice to help guide your progress.

Our extensive links with industry professionals will also expose you to a valuable range of learning experiences and opportunities. For example, our partnership with the Firestation Centre for Arts and Culture in Windsor, provides performing arts students with the chance to gain experience on the stage in a professional venue and develop a knowledge of backstage production techniques.

You’ll also get the chance to visit real companies in the creative industries, hear from inspiring guest speakers and work on real projects for local businesses. That way, you learn what a job in the creative industries would really be like. And to make things even more interesting, we run regular competitions, so you can showcase your skills and have a bit of fun along the way.

Where could it take you?
From a BAFTA award-winning director to a student winning gold in visual merchandising at World Skills 2011, we have an excellent track record of developing award-winning talent. Getting a qualification in creative studies could be your first step to a variety of rewarding careers, or a springboard into higher education courses at university or college.

Some of our former students have gone on to successful careers as graphic designers, film directors, actors, visual merchandisers, interior designers, freelance artists, dancers, theatre technicians and teachers, to name but a few.
