What do you need?
To develop the skills and knowledge of people, enabling them to work to an advanced level in the industry in their chosen craft.
Your employer would be expected to train and support you in the workplace so you have the experience to be competent in all of the mandatory and chosen optional units
How you are assessed
You will be assessed in the workplace as well as the college to ensure all the Competencies are met. The range of methods include portfolio building, professional discussion and direct observation, as well as classroom teaching and online tests. You will have regular review meetings with your assessor and employer to support the achievement of the qualification.
How Long?
Up to 24 months
What course next?
Progression to employment on Level 1 to Level 2 in the same occupation. Progression to employment on Level 2 to Level 3 in the same occupation. Progression to employment on Level 2 or Level 3 to technical supervisors and management qualification.
