What's covered?

This Foundation Degree (FdA) is a flexible Higher Education Business programme validated by Bucks New University and designed with working people in mind. It has been designed to enhance your employment and career opportunities, build business and life skills and combines academic rigor yet draws heavily from your workplace experience. Foundation Degrees are aimed at those who are working (or self-employed), have possibly not studied for some years and are now keen to earn a degree qualification for their CV to enhance career prospects and professional development Modules Year 1 Understanding the Business Environment Role of Marketing Leading and Managing an Organisation Financial Management Personal Development Understanding Change Modules Year 2 Service Marketing Managing Operations and Projects Information systems Human Resources and Reward Small Business Management Work Based Learning Project

What do you need?

You will be over 19 and have achieved Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent). You will be invited in for a discussion with the FdA Course Tutor and asked to complete a short diagnostic assessment.

How you are assessed

Your work will be assessed through presentations, essays, case studies, reports, group and individual projects

How Long?

Wednesday evenings (6pm - 9 pm) You may be required to attend occasional weekend seminars/workshops

What course next?

This Foundation Degree is a powerful qualification in its own right. Yet it will also enable you, in most cases, to progress directly onto the third year of a Business Honours Degree. There is a guaranteed progression route with Bucks New University. This could then lead you to study at Masters/MBA level.

What could this lead to?

Direct entry into Year 3 of a Business Honours Degree and then, potentially, Masters/MBA Level study
