The majority of courses leading to a qualification have entry requirements. These are in place to make sure that you have the best chance of being successful in achieving your qualification. Most subject areas run courses at a number of different levels, so if you don’t yet have the grades to do the course of your choice, talk to us and we might be able to recommend a different course initially so you can start making your way towards what you want to do.

Drop in and see a student adviser for more advice.

If you haven’t yet gained any qualifications, or you’re worried that your maths, English or IT skills might hold you back, we have plenty of courses to help you. Life Skills courses will help adults to improve their literacy and numeracy, and our Advance 2 Go and Career Launch programmes are ideal for people who didn’t do so well at school, or haven’t studied for a while. We also offer a large range of Learn English courses for those who have English as a second language. None of these courses require previous qualifications and are a great first step towards your goals.
